How much does post-construction cleaning cost?
Post-construction cleaning is billed by total labor-hours at $97/hour per cleaner, with a $499 minimum. One cleaner working for one hour equals one labor-hour. For example, three cleaners working for four hours equals 12 billable labor-hours — not four. For best results, we recommend two visits — an initial rough clean and a detail clean 2-3 days later once dust settles. Each visit is billed separately.
How is post-construction cleaning calculated?
Your cleaning charge is calculated by multiplying the hourly rate per cleaner ($97) by the total labor-hours worked. Total labor-hours combine the time worked by every cleaner on your team. We always send a minimum team of 2 cleaners. The amount of cleaning needed depends on the project's size, condition, and scope.
What should be done before you arrive?
Before we arrive, contractors must remove heavy construction debris and complete a basic cleanup. Our service focuses on the detailed cleaning needed after construction, rather than hauling away construction waste.
What's NOT included in post-construction cleaning?
Debris hauling, hazardous-material cleanup, and internal HVAC duct cleaning are outside the scope of this service. If you need debris removal, we can help connect you with a local hauling service.
When should I schedule post-construction cleaning?
Schedule us after all construction is complete. The space should be empty — no furniture moved in yet. We recommend booking 2-3 days after your final contractor walkthrough to let airborne dust settle before we capture it.
How long does post-construction cleaning take?
A single-room remodel typically takes 4-6 hours. A finished basement is usually a full day. Whole-home renovations can require multiple days. We'll give you an accurate estimate when you describe your specific project.
Can you remove paint from my new floors?
We remove light paint splatter where it's safe. Heavy paint removal should be handled by your contractor before we arrive. We'll identify anything that needs professional attention during our walkthrough.
